The headstone for Edward Gower and Sarah Petts at Lyminge
church says : "erected by their affectionate children"
Sarah Elleneder, mentioned on both the above certificates, appears
to have been nee Hogben, not Edward and Sarah's daughter Sarah, b 1817.
When their son Edward b.1812, died in 1877 the informant was an Eliza
Hogben. The next page, for the younger Edward has several members of
the Hogben family living nearby.
