from Carol: Cecil Gower son of Herbert Gower & Lucy Ellen Swain came to Australia on 20 October 1913 on the ARMADALE  and landed in Fremantle WA and joined the Australian Army He sent for his Fiance, Julia A Davies, she left Liverpool on 20 April 1920. As she was his fiance the Australian Govt paid her fare 3rd class !! She was born in 1899. He left from London she from Liverpool. They apparently lived in WA (Perth/ Fremantle) for the rest of their lives. Cecil earned a New Year Award in 1951 Haven't been able to find out what it was for.
