I descend from John Pollock, wool-stapler and wine merchant. It appears that he left Wakefield and the wool business and went to London. Robert and Grace and their big family was there too and I think that sister Mary Pollock married a James Thomson and lived some time in Portugal working in the wine business there. I know that Robert and Grace had a mass christening day at their home on Kent Road in London to which some of John's children went too.
