- spouse apparently unreadable, the Census just gives us Amy E., but appears to be the Amy Warren above. This would also explain how Francis met a girl from an obscure Somerset village. The 1881 Census has her, age 8, born in nearby Hemmington but living in Faulkland with her mother, Elizabeth, (father apparently away somewhere) and siblings. Eldest brother was a farm labourer. [later confirmed via Geoff as Amy Elizabeth Warren 1873-1941]
