The road to Greaves Farm, the farmhouse is just over the ridge.

A much modernised 15th century farmhouse! It does look older inside. The extension on the right was originally the byre, for the animals, now the kitchen.

From the other end, this was probably a barn.
Some of the stonework is original, but it wouldn't have looked much like this in 1901.

The view from standing by the byre. Joseph moved his family here in Feb/Mar 1901.
It must have been rather bleak at that time of year.

. . . and the view from the end of the house. The buildings in the distance are mostly newer than 1901, this would have been a very remote place.
