Hobnob House
more birds in the garden

A Blue Tit on the peanuts. It let me get within 6 feet of it to take the picture, so it's a little better quality than some of the others. I'm sure it was actually posing for the photo...

A Magpie on the fence. When I take a picture the camera makes a fairly soft 'beep' - the magpie heard the beep and looked round for the 2nd picture. But... I was upstairs behind a thick double-glazed window, which was shut, and the bird was at the other end of the garden - it still heard the beep....

If I can get a slightly better quality shot this one might turn up on some home-made xmas cards....

The picture quality is awful as I took this in a hurry from upstairs
- but it's not every day we get a Great Spotted Woodpecker on the peanuts!

.... and the Nuthatch isn't that common either, it really was feeding upside down.
This was taken through the conservatory windows - looks like it's time I cleaned them....

Greenfinches on the new seed feeder - I only put this up a couple of hours earlier, they soon found it...

.... but they drop a lot of the seed so others, like this Chaffinch, collect the seed from the ground.
